Quick and simple to use attach your EASY-SCALE, and flush the limescale away, it’s that simple! – keep getting error codes? Most likely a build-up of limescale causing irreversible damage to the pump, heater, and internal components. Your EASY-SCALE descaling kit helps water flow by descaling the pump, heater and internal components Significantly improves water flow, and heating efficiency, saving money on heating the tub and extending the lifespan of the pump.

How to Use:

1. Ensure the tub is empty of water.

2. Switch off pump. Unscrew the filter from inside of the hot tub.

3. Using a philips screwdriver and the spanner that came with your tub, undo and remove the 2 fittings that secure the pump to the tub.  If you don’t have the spanner simply use a pair of waterpump pliers taking care not to damage the threads on the bottom filter fitting.

4. Attach the descaler to the pump; Screw the big nut section of the pre-assembled pipes supplied onto both pump fittings.  Screw the 2 blue fittings onto the CleverSpa Aquaspa Easy Scale.  Ensure all fittings are tightened, including the caps, hand tight only.  DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN OR USE PLIERS AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE THREADS.

5. Fill to about 2” below the top.  Switch on pump and test for leaks, tighten fittings if necessary, including the caps.  Add the Oust (or similar).

6. Run pump for a minimum of 30 minutes on heat (30°C) Ideally you want to achieve a water temperature of 35°C – 40°C but if the pump shows an overheating error code HL simply reduce the heat accordingly. The water may turn rather milky – a good thing – the milkier the solution, the more limescale you are removing.

7. Switch off pump. Hold an empty jug under the bottom fitting.  Undo the blue bottom cap allowing the solution to empty into the jug.

8. Reattach the blue cap on the bottom fitting. Repeat steps 6 and 7 with clean fresh water for a minimum of 5 minutes.

9. Remove your CleverSpa Aquaspa Easy Scale.  Pop the assembled pipes inside the CleverSpa Aquaspa Easy Scale ready for next time. Refit the fittings to the pump remembering to replace the screw in the bottom fitting.

10. Replace the filter, refill tub with water.

11. Switch on pump and enjoy once again.
